For Three Generations, The philosophy of Browne and Browne has always been to focus on one goal –
Scott W. Browne has been practicing law since 1996. He is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Louisiana where he handles all types of personal injury cases including automobile crashes, 18-wheeler wrecks, wrongful death, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence. Mr. Browne also handles all types of family law matters, particularly those including divorce and custody.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and then received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in 1996. After almost three years of working for an insurance defense firm, Scott fulfilled his lifelong dream by joining his father at the law firm of Browne and Browne in 1999. Since then he has dedicated his practice to representing victims of personal injuries and fighting for the rights of his clients involved in family law disputes.
In 1969, Ernest J. Browne, Jr. followed in the footsteps of his father and began practicing law. For over fifty years Ernest Browne, Jr. has fought for injured people. His passion has always been to create a fair playing field for his “underdog” clients. His high level of integrity and success inspired all three of his children to become lawyers. Mr. Browne has represented clients against many of the largest corporations and insurance companies in the world. He handles all types of personal injury cases including wrongful death, medical negligence and nursing home neglect. Mr. Browne is a graduate of the University of Texas where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration decree in 1967 and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree in 1969. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

In the United States, approximately 96 people a day are killed in motor vehicle crashes. Additionally, more than 2.3 million people are sent to hospital emergency departments every year due to motor vehicle crashes. When people or corporations violate the safety rules that protect us all from danger, Browne and Browne demands accountability. Motor vehicle crash victims are often left with significant injuries, medical bills, lost wages and bodily disfigurement.
The person causing these injuries is usually backed by powerful corporations or insurance companies. Unfortunately, the only goal of those large companies is to reduce the victims’ recovery. At Browne and Browne, we have the history and reputation of standing up to corporate “bullies” who refuse to take financial responsibility for the harm caused to our clients. When insurance companies and large corporations fail to accept full justice, the attorneys at Browne and Browne will never hesitate to take the case to trial and allow a jury to bring justice.
Medical Malpractice claims are complicated and expensive. More than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. When a person or institution in the medical field wrongfully causes injury or death, they should be held responsible. All of our cases are carefully screened by qualified experts. These experts help provide the medical evidence which is necessary to bring a cause of action against a health care provider. Browne and Browne has the experience and resources necessary to handle these difficult cases.
This is an area of practice that Browne and Browne has been aggressively litigating for many years. The abuse and neglect that occurred in nursing homes previously went unchecked. Now, we understand that death in a nursing home is not necessarily a result of “old age”. Unfortunately bed sores, physical abuse, sexual abuse, nutritional deprivation and medication neglect are often causes of death and injuries in nursing homes. The attorneys at Browne and Browne are standing up for the rights of nursing home victims and holding these places accountable for their actions.
